Bernard Rulach Source:Ceylon Cricketers Bernard Rulach, an aggressive left-hand batsman and an excellent fielder, was born on this day in 1947, Bernard Rulach, born on 2 October 1947, was an aggressive left-hand batsman and an excellent fielder. He played for St. Mary’s College Dehiwela. Rulach toured Australia with National School Cricket Association team in 1964 and captained the National School Cricket Association team against London Schoolboy cricketers in January 1966. After leaving school, he joined the Colombo Colts Cricket Club. Rulach and Roy Dias beat Michael Tissera and David Heyn in the final of the Double Wicket Tournament organised by the Colts CC as part of their centenary celebrations in 1973. India captained by Ajit Wadekar toured Sri Lanka in 1974.
