 “WE, BURGHERS” – By Des Kelly   Many, are the stories on the tiny, yet very important element of population of Ceylon (then), Sri Lanka (now), Burgher Buggers, as we are fondly (?)!! referred to, even after about 90% of us, have already migrated to many parts of the Globe.             Once again, thank you to Charles Schokman, and hooray !!, the honorary Author of this most entertaining and interesting “post”is a Ceylonese Politician I remember well, as the very first Communist leader of my era in the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean”. Peiter Keuneman passed on, in Lanka, in 1997, and regardless of which Political Party he was involved in, will always be remembered by his family and friends, as a highly educated, brilliant Politician, who served , in his Country.. ...
