Young shuttler Ranithma triumphs at 47th National Sports Festival Games Ranithma Liyanage Source:Island 16-year-old Ranithma Liyanage won the singles and doubles titles in the Women’s Badminton event at the 47th National Sports Festival event. National Badminton Champion Ranithma Liyanage, after her victory, said that it was her dream to win a medal for Sri Lanka at the upcoming World Junior Badminton Championship and the Asian Junior Badminton Championship. Ranithma, a 16-year-old student of Kristhudewa Girls’ College, Baddegama recently won the Women’s Badminton Doubles Championship representing the Southern Province at the National Games held at the Sri Lanka Badminton Federation Courts.
