Ishara Sandamini Abeywickrema is a ‘Multipotentiality individual with many passions, hailed from a village termed Pitabeddara in the southern province close to Akuressa .She is the younger sibling her elder sister who is a Neuro physician domiciled in Sydney .Pitabeddara village consisted of lakes, rivers, streams and even waterfalls which made the village very conducive to a decent living with no hazards’ like unbearable heat hence where she was born had been a beautiful village with low temperatures which made living rather comfortable as Deniyaya the next village was considered experiencing a cold climate with tea plantations ideal for most people to engage in decent living. Ishara had been a bright student like her elder sister had studied up to grade five at Sujatha Vidyalaya in Matara which was 39 kilometres away. Her father a well to do person had undertaken her transport to Matara via Akuressa and back to Pitabeddara until she triumphed in the 5th standard scholarship After which she had opted to receive higher education at Gothami Balika Vidyalaya Colombo.The mother had rented out a house and moved to Colombo with Iresha and her elder sister to continue her education. Iresha added that her mother also could sing well via which through hereditary affiliations Iresha also could sing though she has not yet recorded her own song, This transition was unbearable to Iresha to dwell sans her father with whom she was very closely attached to.She recalls falling ill owing to the ‘Sankawa’ she had developed for leaving father and coming to Colombo.Ishara had revealed that father used to visit them almost in weekends bringing the fruits she used to enjoy while in Pitabeddara dwelling.
For her University entrance she selected to do Ayurvedic medicine for which she had a flair as had closely studied the usefulness of most herbal plants used for Ayurvedic medicines. Most herbal plants used to manufacture medicines, shampoos and .creams Iresha was well conversant with which helped her immensely add to her skills needed as an Ayurvedic physician. As Ishara was very concerned about her skin from the year 2015 when she was already a medical student studying Ayuredic medicine she had been using the trusted “Naiveherbs’ products creams, lotions etc recommended by Ayurvedic doctors. Hence, she was aware of the usefulness of them to the skin of females as well as of males. Ishara recollects the visit to Sydney the three of them recently where her sister is domiciled.After a few days the trio had visited Melbourne to follow courses on wellness to enhance her knowledge in her already established AyurWay Lanka business.Anura and Isasya had returned early as there had been important work related to their established business to be attended to.Iresha had returned to Sri lanka after ten months stay in Sydney and Melbourne which is along period to be away from home.
The story how the marriage of Ishara to Anura transpired One day Anura had seen Ishara presenting in a television channel in the Hiru channel, had got terribly impressed about her beauty but wanted to view her in person had gone with Dammika a close associate also a television presenter to the related television channel, the Hiru TV where both were employees were known to many having previously worked in the same television channel. The purpose of the visit though planned was not known to Ishara or to the colleagues there all well known to Anura. Unfortunately Anura had not got the opportunity to talk to Ishara but had been overwhelmed with her pretty looks and disposition which he wanted to view materially. The same evening Dammika his associate had called Ishara and asked what is your idea about Anura who visited the channel. Well she had not known anything about this plan was unable to comment. After seen her Anura was in the stand that she was an ideal partner for marriage but wanted to find primarily whether she already was having a fiancé’ When it was confirmed Anura had discreetly found all possible details of Ishara before asking her willingness to commence a serious love affair.

But Ishara as any other girl had not consented abruptly but taken some time for her to make enquiries about Anura. There had been severe objections from Ishara’s parents as the two horoscopes had not tallied which was a severe constraint. .The duo after been given the nod to commence a love affair to many the duo looked like brother and sister as such no one ever suspected that the duo was in love. In this scenario the duo used to travel together for many places for events. Anura and Ishara had kept their attachment a secret with only a few close eloquent associates were aware. The duo wanted to spring a surprise to many when the wedding took place Before marriage the duo had spent about two years getting to understand each other. Anura had confessed that every married couple do not tally with their philosophies and thoughts. The duo Ishara and Anura tied the nuptial knot on 5th January 2018 in a glittering ceremony attended by a huge gathering of family, relations and several artistes. The saying that marriages are made in heaven is not confirmed by this. Lasting relationships regardless of whether the two people concerned are married or not are mainly based on a mix of genetics, physical appearance and emotions. Anura had mentioned in television dialog that though he is married for a few years he is still to understand Ishara properly though he had strained so much to comprehend. After the wedding the duo continued their usual television programs namely ‘Jeevithayata Idadenna” the popular program in the Sirasa television. for the past four years the duo had jointly conducted Of course owing to the busy schedules in her profession she had been unable to duet with Anura always. But Ishara and Anura had jointly conducted the annual NEKETH program on Sirasa television for three years in succession.
After Anura’s stint at the ‘Siyatha’ he had joined ‘Sirasa’ TV where Ishara too was attached to as the channel needed a male presenter. When Anura’s name was suggested the decision makers had added now as he is lawyer would not accept owing to his heavy schedules in court stuffs. But Ishara had convinced them saying he would be thrilled to accept as this was his ultimate preferred zone The duo had impressively performed the ‘Morning’ show to precision which had reached a popularity to tall elevations simultaneously giving a gigantic boost to ‘Sirasa’ television channel.
Before long Ishara had conceived. Anura had been dreaming of a daughter as their first child .He even had wanted to confirm whether the baby to be born was a son or a daughter. When the gynaecologist confirmed it was a daughter that day Anura was overwhelmed and thrilled the magnitude of his happiness he uttered he could not express. Born in the year 2019 the daughter was named ‘Isasya’ Both have confessed that the life of the duo had changed to tall boosts The duo gives total attention to her.Upto about four years Ishara had abandoned all her activities for a few years regrettably after winning awards too. To complete her degree as an Ayurvedic doctor and for looking after ‘Isasya’ Ishara had been quiet not seen in the media as such she had not been offered any work. After which starting work in presenting had gathered momentum when she re commenced her television work..
The acceptance and belief of Ishara is that when the daughter is growing the father and mother duo should give her complete attention which should also be compulsory to all parents. Ishara’s father had missed her a lot when after her scholarship triumph when she entered Devi Balika in Borella she had recollected missing her father even falling sick Ishara’s father had conveyed that he wishes to spend with Isasya as much as possible to compensate for the suffering he underwent when Ishara left to Colombo. In this scenario both Ishara and Anura render the fullest courteousness to daughter Isasya by staying with her as much as possible the duo is used to playing with her consistently even till late daily.It was disclosed that the duo balance with difficulty the gruelling times in looking after Isasya their activities neglected with preference to Isasya’s attention but that is tasty the duo admits sans the assistance of a domestic aid. Isasya in now is in nursery class at Musaeous College.
Anura does not sing often in programs unlike Ishara but on request he sings in chat programs. Among his television presentations it is the ‘Jeewithayata Ida Denne’ on Sirasa television which is most popular which Anura had continued over a period of four years perhaps from the time the launch of the program.This program as many are aware is presented with a female presenter, on many occasion the counterpart had been Ishara Sandamini who conduct meticulously, to delight the listeners and well as the guests. It has been observed that Anura never embarrass the guests mainly via his pleasing disposition. Anura has also spearheaded the Neketha program on Sirisa television for the past three years in succession. Anura is a multipotentiality individual so is Iresha. She had acted in many teledramas ,the character of Vandana in Ran Tharu was portrayed opposite Vishwa Koddikara on ITN, then Uthum Pathum in ITN as Kethani opposite Menaka Rajapaksa also a lead role, then as Uthpala opposite Kavinga Perera in the teledrama Sihina Piyapath also on ITN, then on Hiru TV as Tharuka a lead role opposite Udith Abeyratne, then in Chaya a supporting role telecast in Sirasa TV Iresha and Anura had portrayed. roles in Poya Day Seethala Ginidel Teledrama a depiction of money ,politics and related evils
Before Ishara became a mother she was crowned as the most popular actress at the 21st Sumathi Awards ceremony in year 2016.Iresha also won the Slim Neilsen award in year 2016 for the best actress jointly with Duleeka Marapona and Nehara Peiris.It was added by Iresha that after she climbed to the apex of fame she had to leave her acting prowess on hold for about four years to devote full time to her daughter Isasya. For which she has no regrets.
Ishara Sandamini has participated in beauty pageants hot fashion model as a hot woman in Sri Lanka, for her talent and beauty was called upon to portray roles in many teledramas in which she portrayed the given roles to precision. She participated in Derana Miss Sri Lanka beauty pageant in year 2008 was selected among the first five.In year 2009 she was adjudged the winner in Miss Lion Queen and in year 2010she participated in Miss Sri Lanka beauty contest was adjudicated as the runner up.She thereafter had participated in the fashion industry and got good places in the fashion industry.
