Shenal Rajapakse showed off his talent at a entertaining 21 birthday celebration at Trinco Bar and restaurant in Rowille – By Trevine Rodrigo The good looking young man who is one of two talented cricketers in Asoka and Nirmalie’s family, revealed his other talent as a singer in a Karaoke night to celebrate the occasion. He certainly has a plan B with his exceptional vocals. A happy crowd gathered to celebrate with Shenal and his family and the night was not out of the usual for a 21st. Invitees were dragged in to a sing-along and several responded to make it a well rounded celebration. A Smorgasbord dinner and celebratory drinks made it an eventful night. Springvale RSL’s ‘Taste of Asia’ Night Delights Guests with Food and Entertainment- By Trevine Rodrigo Another sold out night at the Springvale RSL endorsed what a popular venue it is for their ‘Taste of Asia ‘ concept that is drawing rave reviews for a night of quality food and entertainment at a very affordable price. Chef John Fernando and his team handle a busy schedule on the last Thursday of each month as they churn out a delectable smorgasbord menu with the added attraction of Sri Lankan Hoppers unlimited through the night. Elmo Wells-Jansz provides a fine selection of music with his exceptional vocals to make the night more special. Western Whiskey signed into the Melbourne dance scene at the the popular Walawwa – by Trevine Rodrigo Western Whiskey signed into the Melbourne dance scene with a promising selection of Country music that had an estatic sold out crowd revelling at a new experience and a new band to look forward to in the entertainment calendar. Mentored by ‘Country King’ Esric Jackson, the band delivered in many expectations and are sure to be featured in future dance gigs, mainly in the Sri Lankan dance scene. Famous event promoter Bertie Ekanaike who took in the action was impressed with the set-up and endorsed his views on their continued involvement in the gigs ahead.
