Sinhala New Year Special : Oil-Free Vandu Recipe – By Malsha – eLanka Ingredients: 200 ml condensed coconut milk 100 g sugar 1 cup bread flour 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tbsp corn flour 2 tbsp hot water Pinch of salt Bell cups or small porcelain cups for molding the Vandu mixture Instructions: Begin by caramelizing 100g of sugar in a pan. Once caramelized, add 2 tablespoons of hot water and the remaining sugar to make honey. Ensure to reduce the heat to prevent bitterness in the caramel. In a mixing bowl, combine bread flour, baking powder, corn flour, and a pinch of salt. Mix well. Add vanilla extract to the condensed coconut milk and mix thoroughly.
