SRI LANKA CRICKET NEWS (FEBRUARY  2024) Compiled by Victor Melder Bangladesh will play two World Test Championship (WTC) matches against Sri Lanka in Sylhet and Chattogram in March. It will be the first time since they started playing at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, that Bangladesh won’t play at that ground in a Test series, as the venue will be busy hosting the Australian women’s side at the end of March. Sri Lanka will arrive in Dhaka on March 1, the same day as the BPL final, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium. They will play three T20Is in Sylhet on March 4, 6 and 9. The first two matches are scheduled to start from 6:00pm local time, while the third game is from 3:00pm. Nathan’s Grand-father was Ronald Bertram Ephraums his grand-mothers name  was Ruth Anne Bella  De Hoedt Nathan’s Dad’s name is Dave Ronald Peter Ephraums and his wife’s name is Petra Toxopeus who was born in the Nederland’s and migrated to Australia. Joshua  Pieter Ephraums is Nathan’s elder brother who also represented Victoria in hockey all the way through to under twenty 21 state level. SRI LANKAN IN NEW ZEALAND’S WORLD CUP SQUAD – By Clifford Lazarus Sri Lankan veteran, Sunitha Goonetilleke,  has been included in New Zealand’s World Cup squad for the forthcoming Over 70s cricket World Cup tournament to be played in England in late July this year. Spicy Chili Paste Recipe – By Malsha – eLanka Ingredients: 100g Chili Pieces 100g Kunisso (Ethiopian basil) 4 tablespoons Sugar 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons Ginger Garlic Paste Salt Powder, to taste 5 tablespoons Coconut Oil Instructions: Heat a pan and add chili pieces. Fry on low flame for 2-3 minutes. Set aside. In the same pan, fry washed and seasoned kunisso on low flame. Grind it into a powder. In a pot, heat coconut oil. Add ginger garlic paste once hot. Sprinkle some kunisso powder and a pinch of salt into the pot. Add fried chili pieces and sugar according to taste. Stir well. Pour in soy sauce and adjust salt if needed. Continuously stir on low flame until warm. Remove from heat and transfer to another container. Let it cool. Once cooled, the spicy chili paste is ready to be enjoyed or stored for later use. ...
