Dear Alumnus of Trinity/Royal,
G.C. Wickramasinghe Trophy – TCK vs. RCC Golf at VGCR on 19th May 2017 The 2nd Annual Golf tournament between the old boys of Trinity College Kandy and Royal College Colombo will be played at the picturesque Victoria Golf & Country resort in Digana with preferential rates for stays, the day before the Bradby 1st leg in Kandy.
The tournament was aptly named The G.C. Wickramasinghe Trophy in honour of a former Bradby rugby player, an ardent Golfer and one of the most respectable Captains of Industry who played in the inaugural tournament, and hopefully this year as well.
Date: Friday 19th May 2017
Game format: Stableford for both Gross and Nett
Tea time: 1.30pm, shot gun start with flights of 3
Complimentary: A ‘snack’ to carry for lunch, branded golf ball, School wrist band and a Golf shirt
for the tournament.
Snacks at 9th hole: Free for both players, caddies and ball boys
Cocktail and Dinner: Included
Transport from Kandy railway station at 10:30am: Free on prior request
Fellowship Dinner and awards from 7:30pm at VGCR
Entry fees of Rs. 3,000 (or equivalent in your currency) must be sent along with your valid
handicaps on or before the 1st of May 2017 to:

Please note payment and non-participation will result in sums deposited used for fellowship, and donors duly thanked!
Other fees on the day will include Green fees, caddie and ball boy fees and tips.
The first 5 from each school to pay in, will receive complimentary 1st class railway tickets from Colombo to Kandy (Departure 7am from Colombo Fort Railway Station), and transport to the Golf club.
The G.C. Wickramasinghe trophy will be awarded to the best Gross score of the top 5 cards and the VGCR Trophy will be awarded for the best Nett score of the top 5 cards. Only the first 25 from each school to register by payment will make up the team.
The first ever encounter last year was won by the Trinity team 126-123 under Bimal
