The Sri Lanka Reconciliation Forum – Sydney (SLRF) is proud to present CONCHORD, The Choir, in Concert, on
Saturday 19th September
from 6.00pm to 8.30pm
at Cherrybrook Community Centre.
CONCHORD is a multi-ethnic, multi-faith, multi-lingual choir from Sri Lanka Invites, a group working toward reconciliation in Melbourne, Australia.

Initiated in 2013, the group sings in the three main languages of Sri Lanka – Sinhalese, Tamil and English – while continuing to add more languages to its repertoire.

This concert will include music from a multitude of genres, including Broadway, Classical, Pop, and a variety of compositions from Sri Lanka. The choristers are an enthusiastic and committed group of singers of different ages, ethnicities and faiths.

CONCHORD is conducted by Rushan Hewawasam, an experienced singer and conductor of several choirs in both Sri Lanka and Australia.

As part of this special event, CONCHORD will be accompanied by 5 young singers, who will be arriving from Sri Lanka. They will also be joined by a Children’s Choir from Sydney.

All the participants have voluntarily given their time, effort and energy to further the cause of unity amongst Sri Lankans living in Australia. It is their wish to bring the concept to Sydney and other parts of Australia.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see a choir that has excited much discussion in Melbourne, Sydney and other parts of the country.

Tickets: $15 (Adults) and $10 (Children under 12 years)

Food and drink will also be available for sale on the night.

Please see the flyer attached for further details. You may wish to send it on to others who may be interested in attending.

We hope you can join us for this very special event.
